  Your Wish is My Command...
Okay, Okay, I get the hint! Ya'll don't care about my new job, ya just wanna see pics of my adorable Keiki, eh?

Since Ha'a got Photoshop for Christmas, he's been tinkering around with the pics. Here is Nanea and Noa fighting, they actually had nothing in their hands to begin with. Pretty cool eh, Skywalker?
Ha'a is gigantisized and showing Darth Vader who The Force is really with:
And here's what you have been waiting for...the twins! I feel horrible because I hardly have any new pics of them. This is from last month on Oahu, on a beach in Waikiki.
The babies' are so hilarious now. Tonight, we were driving to church and Z looked behind him and realized there were cars driving behind us, he said "oh, car over there, be careful!"
And when they were lying in bed settling down to sleep, Z was mad at E for taking a toy from him. They had a complete conversation between the two of them:
Z: "Jah-jah took it away from me."
E Nodding in agreement: "Jah-jah took it." (confessing he did it)
Z crosses arms over chest: "Go away. HUMPH!"
E feeling bad: "Z? You want press button? Here look." and shows the toy to him, (but didn't give it back)

They are so much fun, and so much trouble too.
Well, it's off to bed, I work tomorrow!
Have a great day : )

  Catching Up
I know I haven't posted much in a long time. I was really surprised to have any comments at all with my last post! It's touching that you still check in on me : )

I love work so much, though I have never worked so hard in my life. It is challenging and it's exciting.
My biggest fear is that one day my preceptor and my boss will take me into a private conference to say "sorry, we're gonna have to let you go...you're just not cutting it" because as hard as I try, I still do tons and tons of stupid stuff.
--Like start an antibiotic drip into the IV when lab was not done taking the second set of blood cultures
--or write "Brain CT" on my notes because that's what the Dr wrote, even though I clarified with him it was the same thing as a Head CT, and we have a box to check for Head CT, not Brain CT. Silly.
--Or like on my first day, I did not know that Emphysema and COPD were the same thing.

Are you enjoying this? I have a million more examples. Oh the shame. I am certain everyone thinks I am as stupid as can be.
Hopefully I can hang onto my job and learn everything I need to and actually be GOOD at my job someday...

I bet you are wondering about the kids. The twins can talk in sentences now! They can count...not all in order, but it's still numbers! And about childcare, hubby watches them usually once a week on his day off, and the other two days are taken by either MIL, FIL, my niece, or Caroline. Soon, I will be on my own at work and can schedule my days to coincide with Hubby's days off so that we will only have to pay someone to watch them one day a week.
Noa still has seizures and we just switched his meds, hopefully this one will work. And he still goes to Taekwondo
Ha'a is busy with basketball for two teams, one which Hubby coaches.
and that's about it.
Now I'm gonna go bloghopping and get addicted all over again....

  Full Circle
One of the defining moments in my life came 9 years ago when I was driving home from work as a tech at Maui Dialysis, wearing my scrubs, and I was first on the scene of a bad car accident. The man at the steering wheel was unconscious and quite bloody. I was panicked that I HAD NO CLUE what to do. It strikes me as odd that I stopped to help, actually looked the part that I could help because I was wearing my scrubs, but only stood there helplessly, trying to get him to talk to me and deciding whether I should move him out of the smoking car or not. It was that very day that I decided I wanted to do more, I wanted to be able to know what to do in situations such as those. I wanted to be a nurse.
It took a while. A long while.
Last night, driving home after an exhausting day in the ER and in my scrubs, I came across a car smashed into a pole and stopped to ask "Is anyone hurt?!" The man shook his head and said everyone was alright. I drove on, relieved. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with a sense of euphoria, as it dawned on me that I did it, I really did it! I'm a nurse, a real nurse, and I actually might know what to do now. It's been a long and weary road, but I am so blessed and happy to have traveled it.
