Oops I Did It Again
Aw man, I didn't mean to get you all excited about this BIG surprise, it's more of a little surprise. But it's big to me, because see, it's for hubby for Fathers Day, and usually the way we do things around here is, "oh, Father's Day is tomorrow? I guess I'll go to the mall now and buy some boxer shorts" So for me to plan something a month in advance is pretty big, and to keep it a secret is even bigger, lol. The present itself, well, now everyone is going to be so disappointed! Just don't expect much except that it's from the heart, okay? Hey, but it DID have to be special ordered. You'll see.
Today the twins got to see their new preschool while I went to drop off paperwork. A group of kids there gathered around to see the twins, they were big celebrities, lol. E asked if we could go back. So now I have peace of mind that they are excited to go.
Oldest boy is graduating middle school this week. We're going to his "Right of Passage" ceremony. I can't believe we have a high schooler now!
Old decrepit computer desk found its way back in the house. The dining room set is pining to come back in too. After looking at prices for new sets, I think we'll just re-upholster the old chairs and call it a day.
And now I have to put in a plug for Netflix, man, I am really enjoying this, no late fees and movies sent to your home. It's the best! Just watched Everything is Illuminated. Hubby didn't even finish it, he didn't like it but I LOVED it. Anyone else see it?
No Computer
Just wanted to let you know that we had to take all our furniture out of the house to re-do our flooring so I have no computer right now and I refuse to bring in the old, falling apart computer desk and ruin the nice new look! Same for the old "entertainment center" made of bamboo. And same for the dining room set while we're at it. As a matter of fact, there's nothing allowed back in the house, just our couch and the TV, which is sitting on the floor for now. Looks like a bachelor pad. We eat on the floor. lol
Speaking of changes...I've decided that there's just way too much old posts to go back and manually make us anonymous. So I will just do it from now on, and anyone wishing to figure us out will have to read all the old posts, I guess.
Whatever.
Ooh, and I have a big surprise in the making. In one month you'll see what I am talking about. heeheehee
Oh, and I'm getting promoted at the end of this month!! My boss already signed the paperwork, and at the same time I am decreasing my hours so I can spend more time with the family. Just one day less every other week. That way I can have five days off in a row. It'll be perfect!
Trip Down the Aisle
MBBB is getting married! (MBBB stands for My Best Beach Buddy, which we called each other since High School) I'm so excited (I'm going to be a bridesmaid) and I promised her I will be a size six by then....five months!
But instead of starting right away, I have been eating anything I want as my "last splurge." Stupid, I know.
More good news, the twins got into the preschool I have been hoping and praying for. It starts July 31, so we have two months to FULLY potty train, which includes being able to put their clothes back on, something E has a hard time doing with his left-sided weakness. So the Physical Therapist and I worked on that today with him. She said to do it like a stroke patient, have him start with the weak side. How come I didn't think about that?
They've been going commando for the past two days, getting stickers everytime they went in the potty. Surprisingly, I ran out of stickers and had to run to Walmart to stock up last night! They had NO accidents yesterday : )
I won't comment about today though, lol.
This past weekend hubby and I went to Oahu for a wedding (sans children!) It was a really nice long date. We had lots of time to talk, something we don't usually have.
Here's my fav pic of us from there :

Don't we look like honeymooners?? No kids tugging on my skirt! No stains on my clothes! I felt like a real grown up, hehe.
Well, three of the kids are destroying the house as I blog, so maybe I should get off and do some damage control
How To Make Shaka 101
This is the point where it takes a helping hand to make a shaka
If you listen, you can hear E giving directions : )
Getting Creative When There's No Waves
Now that I know how to do this...be prepared for a million videos! This is my boy being videotaped by his friend
bday time
Ooh, I am so excited! I got an Oriental Trading Company catalog and decided to start planning a bday party for the twins. It was a toss up for the theme: cowboy, army, or safari?( This is based only on the type of themes in the catalog.) After consulting with E's Speech Therapist who happened to be here, I decided on safari, and decided we would order lots of safari hats and have all the guests wear them, doesn't that sound fun?! lol. (Aren't you glad you don't live here? Then you don't have to come and look silly) then Diego (Dora the Explorer's cousin and the twins' favorite show) came on the tv and the lightbulb above my head clicked on...how PERFECT! It'll be a Diego Adventure party, and the

safari animal theme will fit right in!
The Nick Jr website has tons of printable Diego stuff we can use and party ideas
lookit the adorable Diego cupcake
I'm in full party-planning mode now : )

Does anybody use Netflix? Feeling spontaneous this Sunday, I just went online and signed up without really researching it. The family all had a chance to sit down and add movies to the queue, silly son even tried to usurp my Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie from the number one position with one of his movies. Don't think so, buddy. So anyway, I got an email yesterday saying it should be here by TODAY. Yeah, RIGHT. Like
anything gets here that fast. We'll see.
**edited to add: HOLY SMOKES! The movies really DID come in today! What, did Santa Claus deliver it????
