Picture-Palooza
Yesterday some friends and I went to Oahu to visit a friend who just had surgery

We made a day of it and also went shopping and to eat (if you are wondering what I am doing, I am reaching the hibiscus plant down to my friend's ear, lol)

While at the hospital, M and I were sitting at the windowsill and it took my breath away how stunningly beautiful she looked so I said "hold it right there! I need a picture of this"

I compared her to the Hawaiian Airlines woman, and you know what??? That's her close relative!

Do you see the similarities??
Here are the twins with the Best Baby In The World. I love when I get to watch her. She's so sweet.

Here the twins homework was to trace their body and decorate. They decided to be skateboarders

Next up: Middle son's bday party Saturday morning and a work party Saturday evening. Also planning a baby shower in a couple of weeks. yee ha!

Party like a rock star! ( A TinkerToy jam session)
and don't forget to check out K8's contest!
Running

Guess what this fool did? A couple of weeks ago I signed up for three years at a gym. Let's just see how long that lasts.
Off to a good start though! Today will be the 3rd day straight this week. My first two times there just killed me. I went straight home, showered and slept. Now I come home still full of energy. Plus, I can run/bike more miles now without feeling like I have to collapse in a heap after the first 5 minutes. Last night we were on the treadmills and could see a class going on...it was called Tease. What? A stripper workout?! lol, that is my goal, to get fit by gyrating and shaking that booty! Nah, but it actually looked fun.
Oldest son got his braces off yesterday. Wish I could show you a picture but my camera still won't load. Hence the sporadic and very infrequent blogging. I can't blog without pictures!
I'm in the midst of planning a trip to San Francisco in a couple of weeks. I remember it being cold, seeing the seals, shopping, a museum, Chinatown, street artists, street cars, and that's about it. Oh, and Great America! Any suggestions in what to do this time? I don't know why I bother, everything is always such a blur after. Such poor memory.
Hurricane Flossie was nothing more than a little wind and rain. Thank God! We were so unprepared. Hubby was like "Shall we start tying things down?" (outside) and MIL and I looked at each other, laughed and said "Let it go! Good Riddance!" lol. I know, I know, they would have been dangerous projectile items.
oh, don't forget, check out K8 and her contest. I really want to win : )
contest!
K8 is having a contest to give away her scrapbooking supplies, and I wanna win it!
check her out
Camp
zombies invaded camp

some girls from work dropped by

oldest son and his friends actually came...it was so nice to camp with him, he usually is too cool to hang out with his folks anymore

they made a slide that went right to the shorebreak that you can either ride into or get slammed by, depending on your ability (or lack of, so guess who got demolished by the shorebreak? lol)
no, not the twins, they didn't make it that far

j and c give it a go

Aunty j made a swing. the kids had so much fun playing all day in the water, then eating s'mores by campfire and catching crabs at night.

A perfect way to end the summer.
Now they want to camp up the mountain. What do you do all day (with no surf) camping on a mountain?
