Obviously, the Price Was Wrong
Well boo hoo, no one was able to go with me to The Price is Right, though several people said with more planning they could, so I am banking on that sometime soon...
I was so despondant over TWO lost opportunities in as many weeks (the boat and Bob Barker, lol), that hubby mentioned there was waterskiing on Kauai, and isn't that one of my 50 things to do?
So off we went to Kauai, where once again, my boys picked up a new sport as if they were born to do it...
*oldest son about to take the plunge*

*middle son up and riding*

And I was once again, the last to get it and the worst at it. The WORST.

To top things off, now my whole body aches from head to toe. I better take a review of my list and get the physical ones out of the way next or I won't be able to do it as an 80-year-old if I can barely do them now! (plus, does this count as waterskiing as we decided on wakeboarding instead? And egads, #32 is to learn how to skateboard!)

But it was lots of fun anyhow, and Kauai is by far the most beautiful island. After, the kids played along the riverbank for awhile
And we went to get Shave Ice and snacks, it was pretty relaxing
Now I guess I am actively trying to complete my list
What should I do next?
#2 Swim with Dolphins
#50 Learn some kind of self-defense
#37 complete a Queen size Hawaiian Quilt
The Deal is ON

We're headed to the Price is Right! Why not?
Next week, 7th ,8th, and/or 9th. The more, the merrier, so if any of you gals can come, email me so we can coordinate. So far, I have 1-2 friends tentatively going, depending on airfare prices.
C'mon, be spontaneous and join me!
Happy Birthday To Me
What better way to celebrate turning half-way-to-dead than to be confronted with the fact that I may NEVER be able to achieve all my 50-Things-to-do-Before-I-Die?
#39. Be on the Price is Right.
Today, Bob Barker announced his retirement. I mean, I knew he couldn't live forever.
So here I am, halfway to dead and only 9 things on my list crossed off, with a high chance of some of them never happening. I could have won the Showcase Showdown, man!
You can forget #10 too, owning my own boat. Turns out that everyone that says yes is because it is fun, but everyone who says no really knows what they are talking about. There's actually a saying that B.O.A.T. stands for "Break Out Another Thousand" because boats take constant maintenance and upkeep that will keep us in the poorhouse.
Not that I am sitting here having a pity party today, mind you. I actually am having a really great day. The kids all went to school, then a friend came over and we made some jewelry together, then we met up with another friend and had a really yummy lunch of Thai food at my fave restaurant.
Oh, I have a request for you all who have MySpace or Netflix, I want to add you as a friend, so email or just use my email address to add me ( click on Contact on the top of this site to get my email)
I'm collecting friends : )
Do you know with Netflix, you can recommend movies to friends and see their ratings for movies, it's great.
Blogger's not uploading my pics today. I suppose everyone's trying to upload all their photos of their kids in costume, so oh well. I wanted to show you my spidertwins. We don't usually celebrate Halloween, because you know, it REALLY is more MyBirthdayEve, so it's not special enough in its own right, lol.
