Birthday Fun

Well 30 folks showed up. With beautiful weather and fun waves, it was a great time. Easy for me, because all they really wanted to do was surf all day.
I could have just had hot dogs and everyone still would have been happy.

The pinata was cheap and broke off from the rope after only three people. So someone picked it up and RAN with it and everyone chased him, it was so funny.

Two Types of Twins in a Tiny Tent.
Last pic: The water was turned off. Meaning, no showers. A guy from a party next to us came with five gallons of water and said "Who wants to shower?" The kids all fought to get clean, which is really unusual...I usually have to tell them ten times to shower!

Tired
Night shift is killing me. Slowly but surely.
I am becoming a zombie.
But there are so many redeeming qualities about the night shift that make it almost bearable. The teamwork and comaraderie of the crew, for one. They love to pull pranks and that cracks me up. Stuff like sneaking out and saran wrapping a truck so the doors can't open, adding a whole cup of sugar to someone's drink when they turn away, or drawing on someone's face when they steal a quick catnap.
I was a target last night. All the while I was trying to think, what kinds of things can I do in revenge? Meantime, they'd keep getting me. Once, someone was passing by with a cup of water and was just going to put a drop on my head when I saw it coming, I did a backhand that spilled the ENTIRE CUP on me.
So if you have any good ideas for next time, I am all ears, baby. Some funny or imaginative pranks would be great.
My highlight of the month was delivering a baby with my own two hands. I wish wish wish I could tell you all about it.
But that's all.
Tomorrow is middle son's birthday party at the beach. And not a single person has called to RSVP yet. NOT ONE.
And we are catering it.
For fifty people.
Because we were too lazy to barbecue all day.
Now I have a big hole in my pocket. I'm so anxious that no one will show up. It's our fault for planning it so last minute, we didn't even pass out invitations until this week. My main hope is that he has fun regardless of the amount of people.
Because I have been working, I have yet to get a cake, plan games, or make or buy appetizers. Thankfully I already have all the goody bag items because I bought it at the same time as the twins' birthday stuff to save on shipping. Anyhow, some of the neighborhood kids did say they were coming, so at least we'll have them, even if we have to drive them there ourselves!

Here's a pic of from inside the Wynn hotel. I can't even describe to you how big that whole area is. Yeah, my pics are crap from the trip so that's all.
Have a great weekend!
You'll Never Guess....
...Where I am.
Blogging to you from Sin City, USA!!
My mom called on Sunday right before I left for work to ask us to come since she had a few days off this week. The last thing I told her was "I'll think about it, but don't get your hopes up."
So I go to work and thought "Oh well, why not?"
I called a friend who said she could come too, then went home on my "lunch break" at 3am to pack my clothes. Finished work at 7:30am, went home and packed the twins' clothes, set my alarm for two hours and had a power nap, then picked up the twins from school and went straight to the airport for the next flight to Las Vegas.
Problem was, mom wasn't expecting us and didn't answer her phone all day. I was getting worried that we'd show up with no ride and no place to stay since she moved and I had no idea where her new place was.
We're having lots of fun, shopping till we drop (though I was very disappointed in the bikini selection at the outlets, I figured there would be lots of stuff at the end of summer) : (
Today we ate lunch at my Aunty's restaurant and tonight we are going to a show called Penn& Teller.
Even though it hasn't been that long since my last visit, there was still lots of new stuff to see. Like the beautiful water/light show at the new Wynn hotel. There's a new show at Treasure Island, it used to be a pirate fight kind of show, now they trashed it up and made it a "siren" show with scantily clad women dancing...new doesn't always mean better.
Well, it's the twins' nap time, I'll post pics on Friday if I have any good ones.
